Stop installing R404A and R507A!

A new brochure was recently published, urging contractors across the world to stop using high GWP refrigerants to ensure they stay in business as the global HFC phasedown starts impacting the market.

Together with AREA, EFCTC and Asercom, the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) has developed a brochure calling on contractors to stop using high GWP refrigerants immediately to ensure they stay in business as the EU F-gas phase down mechanism is having a strong impact on the HFC market, hitting high GWP gases the hardest.

The brochure looks at why it’s urgent to act, the risks and alternatives to R404A and R507A. It also provides a handy guide of what refrigerant to use in a new system, showing options for various applications such as commercial refrigeration and freezers and multipack centralised refrigeration systems.

It also covers when to do a retrofit and what refrigerant to use, while also touching on refrigerant recovery.

Check it out! It’s very well put together and easy to understand.
