Less than two years to FRIGAIR – book your spot!

As the dust from the incredibly successful 2018 FRIGAIR Expo settles, organisers and exhibitors are already preparing for the 2021 show – don’t be left behind.

FRIGAIR Expo takes place every three years and is organised in partnership with the South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC). Organised by Interact Media Defined and Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, the show offers a world-class exhibition, unmatched in the local industry.
FRIGAIR is a great place to get up to date with the latest and greatest product innovations industry has to offer, as well as to network with connections old and new. Don’t forget about the various co-located conferences and events.
It is also well-supported by the local industry trade bodies and aims to showcase the crucial role played by the HEVAC&R industry and the rapidly developing technology in environmentally-friendly efficiency.

Who should exhibit?

The sold-out 2018 FRIGAIR Expo boasted 151 exhibitors, representing not only the local HEVAC&R market, but also leading international players. The expo was hugely successful and FRIGAIR exhibitors were given plenty of opportunity to engage with thousands of high profile visitors.

“We have had very positive feedback from our exhibitors,” said Dale Macnamara, FRIGAIR sales director. “They have been delighted by the number and quality of visitors and the number of sales leads gained.”
After last year’s show, an impressive 90% of the exhibitors said that they would consider exhibiting at the next show again.

Exhibitors generally come from all over the heating, energy, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HEVAC&R) industry. They include (but are not limited to) areas such as split units, heat pumps, VRF, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, recovery banks, solar, energy conservation, fans, extraction, controls and instrumentation, training, ducting, evaporative cooling, thermal energy storage, ice slurries and ice making, refrigerants, diffusion, portable cooling and heating, supermarket refrigeration, display cabinets, freezers, cold rooms, racking, dock loading systems, sheet metal working, sealing, chillers, refrigerated transport, turbines, purification, and software.

For the 2021 show, organisers expect a great mix of exhibitors as well, many of whom have already secured their spots.

Who should visit?

FRIGAIR Expo is free to attend for all industry HEVAC&R professionals. And as the show only comes around once every three years, you really don’t want to miss out on this great opportunity.

In the past the show has drawn visitors from all over the continent, as well as many international visitors. The 2018 show boasted nearly 4 400 visitors from 29 different countries.

There is so much to see and do for visitors. The 2018 show included various events such as the SAIRAC free-to-attend seminars, three world-class ASHRAE courses, and the first-ever ATMOsphere event on the continent, organised by shecco.

The visitor profile includes (amongst others):

The 2021 show will be taking place at the usual Gallagher Convention Centre venue in Midrand, Johannesburg from 9-11 June 2021. Boasting one of the largest HEVAC&R exhibitions on the continent, it is not to be missed. Whether you’re an exhibitor or a visitor, make sure you diarise these important dates now already. You’d be surprised how quickly time flies!

The floor plan for FRIGAIR 2021 is already filling up quickly with exhibitors old and new to ensure that they do not miss out on this HEVAC&R calendar highlight.

“The FRIGAIR show is rare opportunity to view many trend setting technologies and applications under one roof in a few hours,” said SAIRAC president Marius La Grange. “It is a great showcase of what the SA manufacturing industry is capable of. You can compare similar technologies and their cost in very short time in some cases.”

“Compare the cost of a trip to Johannesburg with a trip to Europe or other international destinations where industry trade shows are held and you start seeing the benefits a bit clearer,” said La Grange.

“People don’t often buy high value items from a catalogue or a website so with all the equipment on exhibition it offers much value and contributes towards decision-making in many cases,” he said. “Added to the exhibition would of course be the guest speakers sharing information and experiences, as well as accredited training courses. I trust it will once again be a thrilling experience to all enquiring minds.”

Don’t blow hot and cold on this one: use this excellent opportunity to generate sales, gain valuable sales leads, and develop business connections.
